Cousin Jim had a big personality! He was a man of many talents; a honest and smart businessman,, guiding our Dad into some good investments;; a man with a kind fun soul who loved to laugh; a committed religious man; and most of all a wonderful spouse and Father. He will be missed but always remembered! RIP dear Jim!

We are so sad for your loss. I was sharing with Suzanne earlier this week how much I enjoyed the Uncles (Jim, Mike and Dave) playing guitar together including singing as an extended family at Christmas. I also remember listening to the record he recorded when I grew up. How many people know someone who recorded a record now (pretty special). Jim will be missed but know he is giving Grandpa and Grandma Bot, his brother Jerry, and Aunt Marlyn big hugs from us all.

JB,as we I knew him, brought a lot or life to all of us who sang with him in the March On Brothers group. He will be missed, but never forgotten. He is tuning his guitar up there with the choirs or angels, and you can be sure it will be tuned correctly.

Thanks Pat, It was fun to show off the March on Brothers “Sing it like it is” record at the Funeral that Dad was so proud to be a part of. Thanks for being such a great part of his life!

Our deepest sympathies to Jim’s family, his dear children, brothers and sisters, relatives, and friends. We have fond memories of visits with Jim. We enjoyed his laughter, openness to sharing his faith, and his love of music. He was an interesting man, so easy to talk to. He was committed to family and was very proud of all of you. God”s blessings be with you. You are in our thoughts and prayers. So glad to be able to watch the live stream service.

Just finished watching Jim’s funeral mass and really wished I could have been there. I knew Jim since 1962 and sang with him not only in school choirs but in the folk groups “The Squids” and the “March On Brothers”. Jim had a robust baritone voice that deserved all the solos he got in the recording “Sing It Like It Is” (1968) Members of the March Ons went on to live in a number of different states but somehow Jim got us all back together in 2000. It was the first time many of us had seen each other in 30 years. Since 2000 there have been a number of reunions and we were due to meet up again. I regret that never happened especially since during my last phone call with him, Jim asked if I was organizing one. Singing Country Roads was an impressive and meaningful send off….we truly do hope Jim is “Home”.
