James Anderson 05/12/2021

James “Jim” Lee Anderson, age 69, of River Falls, WI passed away on May 12, 2021 at the ProMedica Charles and Virginia Hickman Hospital. He was born on March 31, 1952, in San Luis Obispo, California to James and Emily (Wheeler) Anderson. He graduated from Fairmont East High School in 1970, then later received his Bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University in 1978 and later received his Master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. He was employed by the University of Minnesota as a Facility Management Technician following a career in the film industry before retiring in 2012. James enjoyed reading, storytelling, watching movies, writing, guns, listening to Irish Music (touring with Gaelic Storm), attending Irish fairs, Christian churches, and socializing. Left to cherish his memory are his children, James (Abby) Anderbard of River Falls, WI and Emily Anderson of River Falls WI; brother, Jeff (Kathy) Anderson of Onsted, MI; sister, Kimberly Anderson of West Chester, OH; friend and former spouse, Kathy Anderson of River Falls, WI. A memorial service was held on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at 1:00PM at Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services (805 E Division St) in River Falls with a visitation starting two hours prior to the service. Private family interment was in Greenwood Cemetery. Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.
