Jacklyn Bark 01/27/2025

Jacklyn “Jackie” Ellen Bark, age 49, passed away on Monday, January 27, 2025, after a 12 year fight with Multiple sclerosis.

Jackie was born at St. Josephs in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. She was raised in Lake Hallie, Wisconsin,
where she loved spending time in the outdoors, fishing with her dad and spending time at the family
cabin in northern Wisconsin. Later she moved with her family to Roberts Wisconsin.
She attended elementary school at Bethel Christian School in Eau Claire, Good Shepphard Christian in
River Falls and was a graduate of St. Croix Central Schools, Hammond, Wisconsin in 1993.
She went on to study accounting and computers at WITC in New Richmond, Wi where she earned
an associates degree in computers. She made lifetime friends everywhere she went, was active in
clubs and enjoyed every opportunity she had to hang out with friends and family. Jackie and James were married on June 25, 1994, in Baldwin, Wisconsin.

She made lots of friends working her first job at Arby’s in Hudson, later even more at Walmart (Hudson)
and eventually more at Ritzinger Eye Clinic in River Falls where she was an optometric assistant-
until becoming a stay-at-home mom when Gabbie was born. She was active in the New Richmond Mom’s group.
Jackie loved electronics, music, driving and the outdoors but mostly she loved spending time every chance she got with her
friends and family. She was a social butterfly and genuinely just loved having a good time with good people.

The last 13 months, though a time to endure, she did her best to not let MS keep her down. While living at the
St Croix Health Center in New Richmond, she continued celebrating life talking and laughing with the people she was with.
She will be deeply missed.

Jackie is survived by her husband James; children, Maddie, Gabbie; her mom Ellie Wendt;
brothers, Michael, John and Jeff (Ali) Wendt and lots of nieces and nephews, (and a ton of friends).
She is preceded in death by her grandparents; father, Jack Wendt and sister-in-law Tiffany (Jeff)
Wendt.

A memorial service for Jackie has been planned for Saturday, February 15th, 2025 at 4:00PM at Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services (728 S Knowles Ave) New Richmond, Wisconsin with a visitation beginning at 2:00PM. I took care of Jackie during her whole stay at SCHC and she will forever be remembered for her witty jokes and friendships she made with each and every resident. We miss you down here! I’m so glad your not hurting anymore❤️

Thank you so much Kayla! She didn’t care much for needing the help she did, but she (as well as myself and our girls) loved how well she was cared for. Thank you for taking care of Jackie.

My heart goes out to Jamie, Gabbie and Maddie for the loss of Jackie. I’ve not met any of them, but I care for them from our communication on fb. I feel great compassion for their family. I’m 83 years old.

I was Jackie’s Adoray Hospice Aide. Jackie was such an amazing, kind and caring person. Jamie, Maddie and Gabbie, Jackie loved you guys more than life itself. We talked about you all at each visit. Sorry for your loss, she will be missed but never forgotten.
