Inez Zielieke, age 93 of the American Heritage Care Center in Hammond, and formerly of Menomonie, Wisconsin, died on Friday, September 9, 2011. She was born the daughter of Oscar and Selma (Johnson) Skog on October 9, 1917 in the town of Hartland, Pierce County Wisconsin. On September 7, 1948, Inez and Arthur were married. She raised her family and helped Arthur farm. They farmed in the town of Menomonie and the town of Sherman until retiring and moving into the city Menomonie where Inez lived until needing assistance, first at her son Gale’s home in Hudson, then the care center. Inez was a hard working, strong willed woman who was very loving and giving to those she met. She devoted countless hours to volunteering and ministering in her faith. She is preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Selma Skog; husband, Arthur Zielieke; daughter, Germaine Stanton; and grandson, Joel Zielieke. Inez is survived by her sons, LaMoine (Mickey) Zielieke, Dean (Ann) Zielieke, and Gale (Cindy) Zielieke; grandchildren, Desiree (Chad) Phillips, Kalli (John) Bestman, Jane (Jason) Beam, Beth (Adam) Driever, Ben (Ellen) Zielieke, and Zack Zielieke; great-grandchildren, Neelah Phillips and Eden Driever; brother, Eldon (Ruby) Skog. A Memorial Service was held on Saturday, October 1, 2011 at 2 pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Hudson, Wisconsin. A luncheon followed the service at 3 pm at the Bakken-Young Funeral Home in Baldwin. Interment was in the St. Paul’s Cemetery in Ellsworth, Wisconsin. Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services of Baldwin.
