Ilene J Bottolfson, age 86, died on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at Amery Hospital. She was born the daughter of John and Inga Larson on May 19, 1938 in Nye, Wisconsin. Ilene graduated from Osceola High School. She married Orlo Bottolfson on June 23, 1956 in West Immanuel Lutheran Church in Osceola and later divorced. Ilene worked for Fabritec in Amery, ran the bakery at Kruegers Supervalue and south of town (where the Saint Croix Aging and Disability Resource Center is located now). Ilene loved to travel and take bus trips with her sisters. She adored her grandchildren. Ilene was loving to a fault, enjoyed a good book, and loved her church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Inga Larson; grandchildren, Travis and Jayme; siblings, Carrie Van Trump, Helen Skiftstad, Agnes Evenson, Ethel Larson, Lewis Larson, Gayheart Larson, Alice Kromrey. Ilene is survived by four children, Steven, Scott, Terry, Tammy (Ron) Running; grandchildren, Michael (Amy) and Matthew, Shawn Bottolfson and Bailey (Derek) Posey, Nicki (Andy) Anderson and Brandon, Alex (Tiffany) Running and Cody Running; multiple great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
A Memorial Service was held on Thursday, March 13, 2025 at 11:00AM at West Immanuel Lutheran Church (447 180th St, Osceola, WI 54020) with a visitation starting at 10:00AM. Interment was in West Immanuel Cemetery. Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.

Aunty Ilene
Aunt Ilene was a Lovely Lady. She was beautiful inside and out. We had so much fun growing up with them. She was a favorite, special person. My heart will miss her. She is in our Prayers and thoughts. Hugs to the family.💖
Aunt Ilene will be missed. Ilene was such a kind,caring and Very Special person. She always had a smile and made you feel like you belonged. You’ll be joining your loving family members at the Golden Gates, they will be there to Welcome you home. Always in our prayers.
