Herman Keller 10/23/2015

Herman Keller, Sr., age 87 of New Richmond, died on Friday, October 23, 2015 at Comforts of Home in River Falls.  Herman was born the son of Nicholas and Lena Keller on July 11, 1928 in St. Paul, MN.  He grew up in St. Paul.  On February 14, 1953, Herman was married to Bonnie Morse in Glenwood City, WI.  They moved to New Richmond around 1960 and began farming south of town.  Herman loved to farm, and also worked as welder at night.  He enjoyed snowmobiling, family get-to-gathers, and spending time with his grandchildren.  Herman was a kind, hardworking man.  He was gentle and generous and was a great dad and grandpa.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Nicholas and Lena Keller; wife, Bonnie Keller, son, Curtis Keller; and great-grandson, Austin Swanson.  Herman is survived by his children, Jean (Ron) Peterson, Beverly (Sheldon Christianson) Keller, and Herman (Susan Dahl) Keller, Jr.; grandchildren, Patrick (Tammy) Erickson, Edward (Shelly) Peterson, Jr., Tammy Swanson, Brenda Swanson, Nicole (Jarod) Lucht and Ashley Keller; great-grandchildren, Isabelle Peterson and Noah Lund; and many other relatives and friends.  A Funeral Service was held on Friday, October 30, 2015 at 11 am at the First Lutheran Church 218 County Road K New Richmond, WI.  Visitation was on Thursday, October 29, 2015 from 4-8 pm at the Bakken-Young Beebe Chapel 112 W 3rd Street New Richmond, WI and on Friday from 10-11 am at the church.  Interment was in New Richmond Cemetery.  Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services Beebe Chapel of New Richmond.
