Henry Brockpahler 09/27/2022

Henry “Hank” Brockpahler, age 78, of New Richmond passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at his home. He was born in Bluegrass, MN on March 23, 1944 to Arnold “AJ” and Marcella “Sal” Brockpahler. He was the oldest boy of eight children. The family farmed and moved to New Richmond, WI in 1951 where they continued to farm and milked cows. Hank helped on the farm and also helped build the barn in 1958. In 1966, he married Judi Linder and they had three daughters, Michele, Christine and Beth. Hank would build and “tinker” with things and not only worked on tractors but won many trophies at tractor pulls with his “77” Oliver as well as truck pulls. Hank and Judi divorced in 1998, and Hank met Carolyn Utecht through a set up by Beth and her husband, Chris. Hank and Carolyn were married June 22, 2002 and they built a home on the outskirts of New Richmond. Hank and Carolyn loved to go camping and go to the casino. They always wanted to be together no matter what they were doing. Hank is preceded in death by his parents; Arnold and Marcella Brockpahler; sisters, Janet Brockpahler and Patricia Moore; brothers-in-law, Lenny Lindgren and Royal Moore; niece, Annie Brockpahler; and nephew, Joe Bonneprise. He survived by his wife, Carolyn Brockpahler; children, Michele (Dave) Osero, Christine Brockpahler, Beth (Chris) Utecht, Dawn Swanson, Duke (Lisa) Utecht, Tammy Utecht, Carrie Utecht; grandchildren, Bryan (Emily), Sam, Danielle (Sean), Jordan, Zachary, Ryan, Taylor (Jack), Brooke, Cody, Kate, Wyatt, Emma, and Clayton; great-granchildren, McKenna, Skylynne, Lennon, Payton; siblings, Barb (Al) Engelhart, Carol (David) Carlson, Mary Lindgren, Jim (Kathy) Brockpahler and Steve (Carolyn) Brockpahler. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Monday, October 3, 2022 at 11:00 am at St. Patrick Catholic Church (1886 County Road G)  New Richmond, WI.  The funeral will be recorded and available to watch Monday evening at the bottom of this page. Visitation was also Monday from 10-11 am at the church. Interment was in the St. Patrick Catholic Church Cemetery. Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.

    I worked with Hank for many years while at Doboy Packaging. He was always fair and easy to work with. He was a good man. I am sorry for your loss.
