Gerald “Jerry” F. Speese of New Richmond, Wisconsin, age 70, passed away on October 11, 2024 while visiting Winnipeg, Canada.
Jerry was born on November 30, 1953 in Hastings, Minnesota and was raised in Maplewood, Minnesota. He attended Tartan Park High School in St. Paul, Minnesota. He was an honored track star in high school and received a scholarship to attend Kentucky University for track. Jerry worked at RockTenn in St. Paul, Minnesota for 38 years.
Jerry loved to fish, golf and camp. But most importantly, Jerry loved to spend time with his family. He was an animal lover and loved his dog, Sammi, very much.
Survivors include wife: Kathy of New Richmond, Wisconsin; two children: Daughter- Christina (Mario) Austin (children: Michael, Kianna (Jimmy) (children: Luna and Adrian) and Marayah. Son – Justin (Amanda) (children: Riley, Victoria, Teddy and Tyler). Brothers: Don (Lois), Bill (Connie), Tom (Sue) and Sisters: Georgia, Rita (John), Betty (Bob), Judy and Kaye. Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, Rosa and Francis, his second wife, Mary, and brothers Kenny, Jack, Robert, Charles and Joe.
A Celebration of Life was held on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at 1:00PM at Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services (728 S Knowles Ave New Richmond WI 54017) with a visitation starting at 12 noon. Refreshments followed the service. Interment was in New Richmond Cemetery. Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.
