Georgianna Oldenburg 07/18/2019

Georgianna Oldenburg, 90, New Richmond, WI, passed peacefully July 18, 2019. Geo was born Jan 29, 1929, to George and Bertha Bettcher, Deer Creek, MN. She and Harry Oldenburg, married Dec 19, 1948, enjoyed an incredible 70 year journey. Raising six children brought her immense joy, as did traveling, listening to music, dancing, crafting, card playing, and visiting family and friends. Her smile brightened the Holy Family Hospital gift shop and Erickson’s (Family Fresh), and she was an active member of the church. Loved ones will remember fondly her warm heart and canned peaches. Georgianna is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Virgina and Helen; daughter-in-law, Kay; and grandson, Brandon. She is survived by her husband; children, Rod, Terry (Darrell), Sharon, Sue (Mitch), Patty (Rick), Pete (Shauna); twelve grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and many family and friends. Special thank you to the St. Croix County Health Center and Lakeview Hospital Hospice staff for their wonderful care. In lieu of flowers, donations will be used for a memorial. A Funeral Service was held Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church (365 West River Drive, New Richmond, WI 54017) with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment was in New Richmond Cemetery. Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.
