George Uebel 01/09/2014

George L. Uebel, age 73 of River Falls and formerly of St. Paul, MN, died on Thursday, January 9, 2014 in Rochester, MN. George was born the son of Herman and Dorothy (Neuenfeldt) Uebel on July 24, 1940 in St. Paul.  He grew up there and graduated from Wilson High School with the class of 1958.  On August 19, 1962, he married Rachel Torres in Carson City, Nevada.  George taught Science and Reading to Elementary and Middle Schoolers in the Spring Valley, WI School District, retiring in 1997.  He loved cars, enjoyed hunting, fishing and skiing, and liked to travel.  George was good humored and personal.  He was a good husband and father.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Dorothy Uebel.  George is survived by his wife, Rachel Uebel; sons, Ron (Kim O’Hara and her son Spencer) Uebel and Gary (Patricia Devaux) Uebel; and sister, Rosanne Uebel.  A Memorial visitation was held on Saturday, January 18, 2014 from 11-1 with a memory sharing service at 1 pm at the Bakken-Young Funeral Home 805 E Division Street River Falls, WI.  Spring Interment will be in Elmhurst Cemetery in St. Paul, MN.  Memorials may be directed to Hope Lodge 411 Second Street NW Rochester, MN.  Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services of River Falls.
