George La Fave Jr. 02/03/2025

George LaFave, age 80 died on Monday Feb. 3, 2025, at Prescott Care Center, from dementia. George was born on March 1, 1944 in Michigan. He joined the Army and served in Vietnam. After the service, George worked at G.M. in Michigan. He then ventured to work in Milwaukee, followed by Thorp, and lastly stopped in River Falls.
He was the founder of R.F. Flag Football. He was the owner of CD & the Platters, a D.J. service for 14 yrs. In Milwaukee, he had his own custom van & car business.
He was a member of R-F Moose, R.F. American Legion, and past member of Lions Club.
George is survived by wife, Jackie of 31 years; daughter, Dori (Wife Kara); stepdaughter, Dianna (Brian); stepson, Greg (Melissa); grandson, Glen; step-grandsons, Jake and Josh; step-granddaughters, Danielle (McLain) and Brianna. He is preceded in death by mother; father; stepbrother; grandson; parents-in-law; brother and sister-in-law.
Upon his request, no service will be held. Cremation services provided by Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.
