Genevieve Peichel 03/11/2011

Genevieve Marion (Bottolfson) Peichel age 89 of Amery and formerly of Mounds View, MN died Friday, March 11, 2011 at the Willow Ridge Healthcare Center in Amery.  She was born the daughter of Hans and Carrie (Henrikson) Bottolfson on February 9, 1922 in the Town of Alden.  Genevieve was baptized and confirmed at West Immanuel Lutheran Church.  In 1948, she married Ben Peichel in Stillwater, MN.  Gen was a wonderful child care giver to many children, which included her special nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Hans and Carrie Bottolfson; husband, Ben Peichel; sisters, Jane Vance and Anna Jorgenson; brothers, Carney, Clifford and Harry Bottolfson.  Genevieve is survived by her sister, Ida (Don) Martinson of Danbury, WI; brother, Paul (Kay) Bottolfson of British Columbia; sister-in-law, Fern Bottolfson; many nieces, nephews and friends.  A funeral service was held Monday, March 14, 2011 at 11:00 am at Bakken-Young’s Beebe Mortuary in New Richmond.  Visitation was also Monday from 10:00-11:00 am before the service.  Interment was in Hillside Cemetery in Minneapolis.  Arrangements are with Bakken-Young’s Beebe Mortuary of New Richmond.
