Gale Langer 08/31/2020

Gale A. Langer, age 74 of New Richmond, WI, died on Monday, August 31, 2020 at Westfields Hospital in New Richmond. Gale was born the daughter of Lee and Irene (Larson) Rogers on February 28, 1946 in New Richmond. She grew up in New Richmond, graduating from New Richmond High School with the class of 1964. After high school, Gale attended Nurses Training at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, MN. She was married to David J. Langer on June 15, 1968 at St. Anne’s Church in Somerset, WI. Gale completed courses at WITC in childcare. She worked for Community Childcare, ran Langer Childcare, and started and was the director of First Lutheran Childcare all in New Richmond. Gale enjoyed sewing, crafting, and collecting dolls. She was known for her cooking and baking skills. Gale was kind, generous and welcoming to everyone she met. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Irene Rogers; siblings, Edith (Ted) Wilson, Dorothy Thieme, Loretta (Red) Ewing, Marvin Rogers, Gary Rogers; and brother-in-law, Edward Olson. Gale is survived by her husband, David Langer; daughters, Jackie Prudlow and Jessica (John) Webster; grandchildren, Leigha and Elizabeth Prudlow and Abigale, Alex, and Alisha Webster; siblings, Helen (Glen) Schumacher, Alice Olson, Rodney (Karen) Rogers, Leroy (Edith) Rogers; and many nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends. Visitation was from 9-11 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m., on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services (728 S. Knowles Ave) in New Richmond. Interment was in New Richmond Cemetery.  Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.

    Gale was always so sweet and helped out in so many ways at First Lutheran. We are all going to miss her.

    Gale was always friendly and was so kind, especially with baking goodies for all at FLC. So glad I was able to get to know her. Rest In Peace Gale.
