Frederick “Fritz” Parnell, age 72, of Somerset Wisconsin passed away August 3, 2016 surrounded by his loving family at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota. He was born July 31, 1944 to Wallace and Lillian (Traiser) Parnell in New Richmond, Wisconsin, raised and still resided in Somerset. He joined the service after High School and raced dirt bike while he was overseas. Frederick was passionate about many things; he was the co-founder of the Somerset Youth Hockey association and a baseball and hockey coach. Trapping, hunting, fishing and trap shooting, were a big part of his life; but the thing he enjoyed the most was traveling the United States on his Harley. Frederick was an Air Force veteran, Gunsmith and a retired Iron Worker. His biggest passion was being a loving father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents. Frederick is survived by his loving children, Tammy (Major) Erickson, Todd (Sheila) Parnell, Krissy (Dan) Dalton, Kim (Rich) Vetterkind; grandchildren, Jordan (Paige Charland) Johnson, Anna Erickson, Logan Parnell, Bryan Dalton, James Dalton, Eva Dalton, Brett Vetterkind; great-grandson Beau Johnson; siblings, Mary Ann (Doug) Larson, Sue (Dennis) Parnell, Dave (Laurie) Parnell. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday August 10, 2016 at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Somerset, Wisconsin. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to Mass at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the family.
