Frank Edmond Shuman, age 70 of River Falls, WI, died at his home on Tuesday, November 18, 2025 after battling cancer. He was born the son of Frank and Elaine (Davis) Shuman on April 28, 1955 in Shell Lake, WI. He grew up in the Spooner, WI area and attended Spooner High School. On July 15, 1975, Frank was married to Diane Schiltz. They eventually settled in Hastings, MN. They spent time in Ellsworth, WI and then River Falls, WI where they raised their family. Frank worked for Smeads, was an industrial painter for Lovegreen Industrial, and spent the remainder of his career driving semi truck. He lived to hunt and fish, he enjoyed being in the woods or on the lake in every season. Frank, Diane and Blake loved to ride motorcycle. He liked to stay busy and was always in the shed working on something. Mowing the lawn was one of his favorite pastimes. Frank was an observant man of few words. He worked hard and was a steady presence in the lives of those he loved. He was resilient right to the end. He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank Shuman and Elaine Bray; and brother, Joseph Bray. Frank is survived by his wife, Diane Shuman; children, Chad (Angie) Shuman, Michael Shuman, Jennifer (Dan) Moon; grandchildren, Noah Shuman, Ty Smith, Brendan Shuman, Trenton Shuman, Weston Moon, Rayna Moon, Kennedy Moon, Asher Moon, Secora Moon; beloved dog, Blake; siblings, David (Dawn) Shuman, Pat (Ernie) Hill, Mark Shuman, Debra Matsimela, Linda Spexet; and many niece, nephews and friends. A Celebration to celebrate Frank’s life will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026. The timing details for the 10th will be available here shortly.
