Evelyn Corrine Powers died February 7th, 2024, at Orchard View Terrace at the age of 93. She was born November 5th, 1930, to Francis and Emma Henry in Bern Township, Pennsylvania, the oldest of 6 children. In 1949 she married Harold Shenk and had 3 daughters. They later divorced and in 1960 she married Allan Powers and moved to Wisconsin. She worked various jobs over the years, the last as a solderer at New Richmond Industries which she loved. She was an avid reader, fisherwoman and in past years, enjoyed deer hunting.
Evelyn was preceded in death by, her husband; eldest daughter, Haroldene Emma Shenk; mother, Emma Marko; father, Francis Henry; stepfather, Steven Marko; sisters, Sandra Calnan and Frances Burkert; brother Lester Henry; brothers-in-law, Walter Burkert, Rolf Struempfler, John Powers, William “Butch” Powers and Gene Pederson; sister-in-law Eleanor Pederson; son-in-law, Scot Singerhouse and nieces, Julie Pederson and Bonnie Henry.
Evelyn is survived by, daughters April (Harry) Deisher and Stephanie Singerhouse; grandchildren, Grant (Theresa) Leverty, Gerrit (Kari) Leverty and Alyx (Dustin) Bystrom; great grandson, Otto Bystrom; sister, Janice Struempfler; brother, Stephen “Mick” (Carol) Marko; sister-in-law, Faye Henry; brother-in-law William Calnan; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
It was her wish not to have a service but to be cremated and have her ashes scattered at a place special in Hamburg, Pennsylvania.
Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.

Aunt Evelyn, you’ve given me such good memories as a child. Especially the highest snowman I have ever seen, When we lived at the Apartments. Really missed you and my best friends, your beautiful daughters. Rip Aunt Evelyn. Love you! 🙏🌹❤️
