Eugene Sempf 09/30/2015

Eugene “Gene” Sempf age 73 of New Richmond died Wednesday, September 30, 2015.  He was born the son of Herman and Irene (Johnson) Sempf on June 29, 1942 in Clayton, WI.  Gene worked at various auto body shops in the area before owning and operating Gene’s Auto Body in New Richmond.  In later years, he worked for the New Richmond School district and retired around 10 years ago.  Gene enjoyed the outdoors by camping and fishing.  He liked visiting with friends and extended family, and he loved spending time with his grandchildren.  He is survived by his wife, Judy; children, Wendy Sempf; Tim Sempf, Jim Sempf and Joe (Loni) Sempf; grandsons, Corey Sempf and Brady Sempf; granddaughter, Joey Sempf; nephews, Ron and Larry and niece, LuAnn.   Gene was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Irene; brother and sister-in-law, Dale (Vivian) Sempf. A memorial service was held on Sunday, October 4, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Bakken-Young Beebe Chapel in New Richmond.  Visitation was also Sunday from 1:00-2:00 pm at the funeral home.  Private interment will be held at a later date.  Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services Beebe Chapel of New Richmond.
