Eugene “Gene” William Cline, age 85 of Baldwin, WI, died Monday, July 9, 2018 at Baldwin Care Center in Baldwin, WI. He was born the son of Walter and Minnie Cline on October 24, 1932 in Baldwin, WI. He attended school in Lugerville and Glenwood City. After school, Gene worked various jobs, such as truck driving, logging, and custodian. He also sold vacuum cleaners. He married Louise Leitl on November 17, 1951 in Park Falls, WI. During retirement, Gene travelled, watched wrestling as well as hunted and fished. Gene shot the 2nd Largest Buck in Wisconsin in 1948. Gene was an outdoorsman and tinkerer who loved four-wheeling, Chevy pickups, and mowing lawn. He was a kind, gentle, and quiet man. He is preceded in death by parents, Walter and Minnie; wife, Louise. He is survived by his children, Chris (David) Stene, Bud (Nancy Duval) Cline, Jeff (Teresa) Cline; grandchildren, Alicia (Aaron) Madsen, Jennifer (Jeremy) Lubich, Nicholas (Amber) Samens, Kyle (Emilee) Samens, Noah Cline, Jonah Cline; great-grandchildren, Anna Madsen, Aaric Madsen, Julia Lubich, Jocelyn Lubich, Jared Lubich, Johna Lubich, Justin Lubich, Josie Samens, Maddy Samens.  A Memorial Service was held Thursday, July 12, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services (1750 8th Avenue, Baldwin, WI 54002) with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment was in Baldwin Cemetery. Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services of Baldwin.
