Ethel Trapp 02/15/2011

Ethel R. Trapp, departed to spirit at age 91 surrounded by her family on Tuesday, February 15, 2011.  Married to Bud for 63 years.  They built their beautiful home on the shores of their beloved Grindstone Lake, Sandstone, MN.  Aunt Effie as she was known by, was a teacher for 44 years.  Being happiest teaching 3rd Grade.  She loved gardening, travel, and crosswords, her favorite trip being the polar bears at Churchill.  Preceded in death by her husband, Bud.  Survived by sister, June Sanburg; brother, Ronald (Jo) Sanburg; many nieces and nephews.  She will be deeply missed by her care givers, Patience (Billy) Biedler and Linda, as well as Patience’s children, Adam, Brett, Derek, Carlie and Evalynn who called her Gramma Effie.  After cremation, she will be privately interred.  Memorials may be directed to:  The Family of Ethel Trapp C/O Bakken-Young PO Box 46 New Richmond, WI 54017.  Cremation services were provided by Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services of New Richmond.

    Wonderful teacher! She made me love school. Think of her often now that I’m older and can think about and appreciate the people who made a difference in my life. She was definitely one of them. Wish I could have told her.
