Eric William Larson, age 34, of Star Prairie, WI, died on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, surrounded by his family at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, MN. Eric was born the son of Jason and Shelly (Wishard) Larson on September 7, 1989 in St. Paul, MN. He grew up in Amery, WI, graduating from Amery High School with the class of 2007. He enjoyed the thrill of riding motorcycles and driving his big trucks. He also really enjoyed spending time with family, working out, fishing, bow hunting, and spending time (and maybe money) at the casino. He has a record buck entered in the Pope & Young record book. Eric was known for his sense of humor, willingness to help anyone in need, and his sense of adventure. You could find him adventuring and fishing at the falls in Taylors Falls often. He was outgoing, loving, and caring. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Linda Wishard; and fiancé, Ashley Young. Eric is survived by his children, Kailynn Larson, Greysen Barney, Annabelle Barney; step-children, Gabe McCutcheon, Caleb McCutcheon; parents, Jason Larson, Shelly (Timothy) Teschendorf; sister, Ashley (Brady) Paape; half-brother, Shawn Bottolfson; step-siblings, Timothy (Emily) Teschendorf, Jr., Brian (Shelby) Teschendorf, Brittany (Chico) Pagitt; nephew and nieces, Jaxon, Layla, Aliyah; grandparents, Deloy and Shelly Larson; special friend, Elsa Smith; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Eric, I have known you since you were five years old running around, riding bike with the other boys. I remember when I first babysat you, you were a hyper little boy, with a heart of gold, and a laugh that was contagious for everyone. I’m going to miss you and it wonderful to know you, see how have grown into a responsible young man with children of your own. You, and Ashley had a piece of my heart I loved you like my own kids. I will never forget you, you will always be in my heart, and thoughts. Rest in peace my friend. Love you always. Jill

I am so sorry for your devastating loss! I remember Eric when he was a little kid and hung out with my son and family! As he grew into an Adult and I would run into him he would always give me a hug and we would catch up on our lives! He will definitely be missed ❤️

I can’t believe it, 2 weeks ago we were hanging out, laughing, making jokes. It doesn’t feel real. I didn’t know you for long, but others around me have, and I can see the impact you had. You were one of the good ones.

Hey shelly. I can still see Eric and Joe playing Nintendo at our apartment and Ashley came over and Eric tried to kick her out. I think they wer 5 or 6. Also they sure liked to ride joes flinstone car joes dad made him. Both sitting in it using their feet to push. My favorite is when Eric was over and it was night time and Joe had to take the garbage out they could leave so they hopped on the hood of the car and both holding onto garbage can getting a lift to the end of driveway. It was just a few feet. Lol love 💕 Eric and family!
