Elsbeth “Beth” Burns, age 50, died on Sunday, April 25, 2021 at her home in River Falls. She was born the daughter of Thomas and Ryanne Bieraugel on September 2, 1970 in Fargo, ND. Beth grew up in Hastings, MN graduating from Hastings High School class of 1989. Following high school, Beth graduated from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls and then attended the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. She started out working as a preschool aide and worked her way up to director of childcare centers. She married David Burns on February 14, 2001 in Hastings, MN. Beth loved spending time with her family and pugs as well as watching the Food Network. She was a modern free spirit who marched to her own drum. Beth was constantly optimistic with a positive outlook on life. She was a huge Beatles fan and loved music. She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Ryanne Bieraugel. She is survived by her husband of 20 years, David; and son, Quinn; pugs, Buddha, Ghia, Ziggy, Rosie; and cat, Jack Jack. Cremation Services provided by Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.

Ellsbeth was wonderful; smart, funny and kind. I taught her in my environmental science class when she was 14. She was A+ and always smiling. She was a sweetheart. My heart goes out to David and Quinn.
I remember Elsbeth as being so wonderfully artistic and unique – we went to high school together – I am sorry to hear of her passing.
Elsbeth was two years ahead of me in my sister’s class, but she was always kind to me, funny and sweet and always smiling.. I’m so very sorry to hear of her loss. My thoughts are with her family.
