Elmer James Perkins, Sr.
October 8th 1942 – December 13th 2020
Elmer was born to Melvin and Isabelle (Herbst) Perkins in Wadena, MN. He attended school in Oak Valley Township. Elmer enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, and playing cards. He was married a few times when he found the love of his life Carol Hoffmeyer, they married in 1982 and were married until Carol passed away in 2014. Elmer remarried February 14th 2020 to Donna Riley. Elmer passed away at their home surrounded by family. Elmer is survived by wife, Donna of Downsville, her children: Tony King, Dustin Walters, Tyvara (Landon) Webster, son, Elmer Jr, daughters: Crystal (John) Halpus, Lisa Vernig, Patricia Arnold, Sarah (Larry) Stokes; grandchildren: James McGuire, Kevin, Hoffmeyer, Emily (Jeff) Duden, Spencer Miller, Taylor Miller,Brianna (Drew) Rodgers ,Jada House, Brandon Jones, Bradley Jones, Brandi Dokken, Victoria and Adeline Perkins; great grandchildren: Loren, Maddy, Payton, Izzy, Char, Aubrey, Zoey; siblings: Margret(Norm), Lulebelle, Rosie, Melvin (Sally) and many others. He was preceded in death by his parents, his love Carol,daughter Janet, grandson Michael, great-granddaughter, Willow, his sisters: Marietta,Adeline (John), Delores (lefty) Rose, brother William and son in law Bob. During his retired life he enjoyed spending time with his grand kids, fishing, hunting, and running his hobby farm. A Funeral Service was held on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at 2 pm at the Pepin Hill Event Center W8996 Pepin Hill Road Pepin, WI. Visitation was also on Thursday from 12-2 pm at the event center. Interment was in the Maiden Rock Cemetery in Maiden Rock, WI. Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.
