Elizabeth “Betty” Meyer age 84 of Hudson, formerly of Brookfield, WI passed away peacefully Monday, December 3, 2012 at her home. She was born the daughter of Fred and Elizabeth (Barke) Heinrichs on May 8, 1928 in Milwaukee, WI. Betty worked at the Mayo Clinic for Dr. Benjamin Spock and worked and the VA Medical Center in Milwaukee. She loved to roller skate and that is how she met her first husband, Chester. Betty was an avid reader, and fan of the Packers and the Badgers football. She was active in her church and enjoyed music. Betty was a lifetime member of Alpha lota Sorority and member of VA hospital alumni. During retirement, Betty traveled the world. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Chester Lewandowski and William E. Meyer. She will be missed by her children, Scott (Mary Anne) Lewandowski, Jill (John) Martin; grandson, Blake Martin; brother, Robert (Martha) Heinrichs and sister, Marion (Leonard) Janiszewski. A celebration of Betty’s life was held Friday, December 28, 2012 at 10:30 am at Trinity Lutheran Church (1052 Whiterock Ave.) Waukesha, WI 53186. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements were with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services of Hudson.
