Elizabeth T. Pastor, age 99 of Minneapolis, MN, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, died peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, December 9, 2012. Elizabeth was born the daughter of David and Grace (McCoy) Thomas on May 23, 1913 in New Richmond, WI. She attended Carlton College. In 1936, she was married to John D. Pastor, Sr. in Chicago, IL. They made their home in Minneapolis where they raised 5 children. Elizabeth was an officer with Western Underground Construction Company. In 1963, she began a career as the Manager of Domestic Travel for AAA in Minneapolis. After retiring from AAA in 1978, Elizabeth became an international tour guide and pursued her love of Bridge. She was a member of The Daughters of the American Revolution, the Minneapolis Women’s Club, and Mt. Olivet Lutheran Church in Minneapolis. She is preceded in death by her husband, John D. Pastor, Sr. (1978). Elizabeth is survived by her children, Jean Pastor, Joan Pastor, John D. “Jack” (Kathleen) Pastor, Jr., Josef (Patti) Pastor, Jim (Libby) Pastor; grandchildren, Kim Abrahamson, Kari (Scott) Hauser, John D. (Kris) Pastor, III, Steve (Lisa Heyda) Pastor, Monica Pastor, Alicia (Daniel) Hollis, Julie (Erik) Wendell, Liana (Joseph) Hilgenkamp, Callie (Joseph) Taralson, Natalie Pastor, Christine Pastor; 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Filmore Thomas. A private graveside service was held Thursday, December 13, 2012 at the New Richmond Cemetery in New Richmond, WI. Arrangements were with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services Beebe Chapel of New Richmond.
