Elizabeth “Betty” Louise Cloutier, age 82 of Star Prairie, WI, died on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, MN. Betty was born the daughter of Harry and Frances (Domke) Sorenson on June 17, 1938 in St. Paul, MN. She grew up and graduated from high school in St. Paul. After graduation, Betty went to work for Twin City Testing. She worked there for many years before moving to Weyerhaeuser Lumber where she worked until retiring. On February 14, 1990 Betty was married to John Cloutier in Las Vegas, NV. She was a member of the Women of the Moose, American Legion Auxiliary, and Bethany Lutheran Church. Betty loved to travel, enjoyed spending time at the lake, and liked to feed the birds. She was a caring and thoughtful woman who always remembered your birthday. She is preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Frances Sorenson; sister, Harriet Sorenson; brother, Harold Sorenson; and grandson, Jordan Cloutier. Betty is survived by her husband and best friend, John Cloutier; children, Katherine Cloutier, Michael Cloutier, Brian (Lori) Cloutier; grandchildren, Dillon (Tasha) Cloutier, Tyler Cloutier, Alexa Cloutier; great-grandchildren, Keegan Cloutier and Maverick Cloutier; other relatives and many friends. A Memorial Service was held on Sunday, September 13, 2020 at 4 pm at Bethany Lutheran Church 415 Bridge Avenue Star Prairie, WI. Visitation was also Sunday from 1-4 pm at the church. Interment was in Oakland Cemetery in Star Prairie followed by a reception at the Butler-Harmon American Legion 1260 Wall Street New Richmond, WI. Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.

I always enjoyed chatting with Betty at church. She always had a smile on her face and greeted me with a ‘good morning’. My deepest sympathies to her family. She will be missed
