Ed, friended me at Ferrania. Played golf at Pine Meadow’s and Hammond. He was well-known and well-liked at all the watering holes. I particularly enjoyed Hammond Hotel and I think that much younger and cute bar maid liked him. Once, at a trade show, he treated my absessed tooth with scotch. It worked. I only saw Ed once after moving to Texas, but I will always remember the “Captain” with fondness.

Eddie will truly be missed. I know how much and how proud he was of his children.

We have all lost a friend who was one a kind in his love of being with people and could befriend a stranger within minutes with his wit and humor. Eddie was inducted as the fourth Amego when he joined the three Amegos in photo tech service. From travelling the country on photo shoots to conventions, there was never a dull moment with Captain Ed. We enjoyed taking road trips around Wisconsin even in heavy snow in my 300C AWD and 3000Gt Vr4. I met with Ed last month for our usual lunch when I got to Wisconsin on business. We planned for a reunion of all who worked for our boss Terry Merrifield as he would be in town. As all of us were looking at the photos and telling stories at the gathering which Ed was to be at, I received the sad call from Pete. Ed was there with us even if not in body. You will be missed my friend.

Eddie was my mentor, but more importantly my friend. We spent many hours talking while working together at Imation and Ferrania. Photo shoots in Orlando are most memorable as are all the times he took me fishing at the crack of dawn. Bass can swim at ease now.
Pete, Jill my heart goes out to you as your dad was never short of proud stories regarding both of you. You did him proud and proud he was of you.
    My deepest condolences.

Pete and Jill- what awesome memories we have of camping at Mantrap, Dead Lake and Fish Lake. I remember being so excited to see your grandma Mabel, dad, and you two. Remember Fenstad’s parties? Those were epic…even as a little kid…I can only imagine how much fun our parents had. Such fun. fun. memories. Hold all of those memories close. Our dads are definitely playing some cards, drinking their Grain Belts, and watching over all of us.
