Edward “Ed” Huser age 51 formerly of New Richmond, died unexpectedly Feb 23, 2014 in Portland, Oregon. Ed is survived by his mother, Shirley Huser; sister, Mary (Tony) Halverson; nieces, Tate and Annie Halverson; his partner, Jefe Kraybill and special canine companions, Rocket and Fiona. Ed was preceded in death by his father, Francis Huser. Ed attended the University of Minnesota and was currently employed with VIE Sports in Portland as Director of Product Management. Ed devoted much of his life fundraising for non-profit groups, devoted to promoting wellness, identity, tolerance and diversity. He had an infectious laugh and a great comedic style. He made a difference in many lives. His tender heart and caring soul will be missed by many. Mass of Christian Burial 4 PM Friday, March 7, 2014 at the DEERFIELD CHAPEL, 1127 West 8th Street, New Richmond, Wi. 54017. Visitation one hour prior to service. Interment Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers.
