Dorothy Tobish 08/08/2013

Dorothy A. Tobish, age 86 of Somerset, WI, died on Thursday, August 8, 2013 at  Regions Hospital in St. Paul, MN.  Dorothy was born on October 5, 1926 in St. Paul, MN.  She grew up in St. Paul and was a graduate of Harding High School.  Dorothy was married to James Tipping, Sr. who died six months later.  She went to work to support herself and new baby.  Dorothy then met and married Warren Tobish in 1950.  Her family was her life.  Dorothy was the best mother and grandmother.  She loved to cook and bake, and enjoyed sewing and dancing.  Dorothy had a big heart and was always willing to give of herself.  She is preceded in death by her husbands, James Tipping, Sr. and Warren Tobish; 7 brothers and 2 sisters.  Dorothy is survived by her children, James (Kate) Tipping, Jr., Tom (Toby) Tobish, Mike (Theresa) Tobish, Judy (John) Wittstock, and Janet (Butch) Witter; 18 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Mahmood; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.  Private services were held.  Memorials may be directed to Dorothy’s family.  Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services Beebe Chapel of New Richmond.
