Dorothy E. Meyer 09/21/2023

Dorothy Meyer, age 90 of River Falls, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 21st, 2023. Dorothy was born on April 19th, 1933 to Fred and Ruth Pechacek, of Hastings, MN. She is one of many beloved siblings. Dorothy met her husband, Norbert Meyer, when she was in her early 20s at a dance hall. Shortly thereafter, they were married on September 3rd, 1955 and Dorothy joined Norbert at his farm and began creating their family and life together. Dorothy was an excellent homemaker and devoted her life to raising their children and supporting Bud on his farming activities. Her surviving children, Dan, David, Dawn, and Duane, loved her dearly and will miss her, but know that she is now resting in peace with husband, Bud and daughter, Debbie. Dorothy and Bud loved socializing with friends and family. Casino trips, card clubs, and family gatherings with kids, grandkids, and great grandkids were their favorite pastimes. Dorothy is preceded in death by Norbert and Debbie and survived by children: Dan, David (Karin), Dawn (Rich), Duane; sisters: Josephine and Helen; 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Dorothy will be greatly missed by all and will always have a place in our hearts.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at 11:00 am at St. Bridget Catholic Church (211 E Division St.) River Falls. Visitation was also Tuesday from 10:00-11:00 am at the church. Family interment was in St. Bridget Catholic Church Cemetery. Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.
