Donald McLean, age 72, passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2026. Donnie is set free from the bonds of his flesh to sore as an eagle. And fish like one, too.
Gone Fishin’
I’ve finished life’s chores assigned to me,
So put me on a boat headed out to sea.
Please send along my fishing pole
For I’ve been invited to the fishin’ hole.
So put me on a boat headed out to sea.
Please send along my fishing pole
For I’ve been invited to the fishin’ hole.
Where every day is a day to fish,
To fill your heart with every wish.
Don’t worry, or feel sad for me,
I’m fishin’ with the Master of the sea.
We will miss each other for awhile,
But you will come and bring your smile.
That won’t be long you will see,
Till we’re together you and me.
To all of those that think of me,
Be happy as I go out to sea.
If others wonder why I’m missin’
Just tell ’em I’ve gone fishin’
Per Don’s request, no formal service will take place.

I’m so sorry to hear of Don’s passing. I have no doubt that he is dancing and fishing with Leesha in heaven right now. Sending you all love, peace and prayers.
We are so sorry to hear of Don’s passing! Our deepest condolences as you mourn his loss and celebrate his life and eternal life with the Lord.
I am so sorry Diane for your loss. I hope Don finds peace and the memories you two have made along the way help you through the difficult times. Hugs Diane and Family.
Our condolences to the family. Remembering Don’s preparations for his yearly fishing trip with the boat, his tinkering in the garage and him riding the little red scooter coming home for lunch. A wonderful neighbor-rest in peace faithful servant.
