Diane Peterson 09/28/2020

Diane Marie Peterson, age 50 died Monday, September 28, 2020. She was born the daughter of Richard and Kay (Bye) Thom on August 6, 1970 in River Falls, WI. Diane grew up in Trimbelle township graduating from Ellsworth High School, class of 1988. She later attended Inver Hills Community College and graduated with an associated degree in Business. Following her education, Diane worked for Red Wing Shoes for 14 years and later became a self-employed painter. She loved anything outdoors in the sun, including but limiting to; hunting, fishing, boating, sitting by the pool or beach. Diane was a colorful, loud woman who had a big heart and personality and always loved to help people. She is preceded in death by her mother, Kay Thom. Diane is survived by her husband, Jason; daughter, Lexa (Jake Hanson) Kinneman; son, Bryson; father, Richard Thom; sister, Darla (Jeff) Sarnstrom; brother, Dan (Theresa) Thom; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. A Funeral Service was held Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at 1:00PM at St. Mary’s Big River Catholic Church (W10137 570th Avenue) in River Falls, Wisconsin with a visitation starting at 11:00AM. Interment was in St. Mary’s Big River Cemetery. Following the burial, there was a lunch outside at the Ridgetop in Prescott, WI. Guests were asked to follow all CDC guidelines for gathering including social distancing and face masks. Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.
