Years ago, when my then-husband Randy and I were living in Gillette WY, we made a trip to Bozeman MT and briefly stopped on the way at the Visitors Center in Sheridan WY to use the bathroom. We’d gotten nearly to Billings MT before I realized I’d left my purse hanging on the stall door! And Randy’s wallet was in my purse, along with my own wallet! Yikes. No money, no cards, no way to buy gas, nothing. I don’t remember how it was I knew Dennis and Cheryl were living in Billings right then, but I looked them right up and we rolled in unannounced with a nearly empty gas tank asking if we could borrow $200 to make the rest of our trip. And wow, even though we hadn’t seen each other for probably 10 years, Dennis loaned us the cash. Now that’s a great cousin to have. And yes, we paid him back as soon as we got back home.

My heartfelt condolences. Such a dear, sweet person, I am sad he is gone.

Vicki – Thank you for sharing. That’s a story I didn’t know about dad. It definitely fits how he lived his life. He was such a selfless man. I am blessed to call him my dad.
