Deanna Hulme 05/15/2024

Deanna Hulme, age 83, died on May 15, 2024 in Danbury, WI. She was born the daughter of Gordon and Wanetta Zook on November 27, 1940. Deanna grew up in Austin, MN, graduating from Austin High School, class of 1958. She worked as a private secretary for Rose Totino of Totino’s pizza and as treasurer for Rose’s daughters’ Charity Inc. Deanna also worked as a secretary for Pillsbury and General Mills.
Deanna married John Hulme. A marriage which lasted 56 years until John’s death in 2022. She loved planting perennials in her garden, fishing, playing games, and shopping in malls. Deanna also enjoyed spending time with her family. Holidays were always important to her as she would cook large, delicious meals. Throughout her time in Danbury, Deanna enjoyed taking rides in the side-by-side through the woods looking at nature.
Deanna was an Angel. She was loving and caring. Deanna was selfless and “would put her life on hold to help someone else.” She was a great listener and had a wonderful sense of humor.
Deanna is preceded in death by her husband, John; parents, Gordon and Wanetta Zook; as well as many siblings. She is survived by her daughter, Melanie (Jim) Jaeger; granddaughter, Amber Wanyama; step grandchildren, Monica Stidger and Ken Jaeger; great-granddaughter, Grace Shodeinde; sister, Sheri Banikarim; and many other relatives and friends.
