David Purdue 11/06/2020

David Purdue, age 73, died Friday, November 6, 2020 at Regions Hospital in Saint Paul. David was born the son of Norman and Alice Purdue on 9/10/1947 in San Diego, California. After graduation, David joined the Airforce and served as an MP in Okinawa, Japan. Once home and back in civilian life, David worked in the maintenance fields. He was married to Victoria (Sherry) Harris on June 15,1982 in Mira Mesa, California. They were married for 39 years. They relocated to Saint Paul, MN in 1984 and retired 2014. They called New Richmond, WI home the last 3 years. Over the years David enjoyed bow hunting, skeet shooting, fishing, BWCA trips, Family BBQ’s and time with the grandkids. He was a huge Star Wars fan and enjoyed gaming. He is proceeded in death by his parents. David is survived by his wife, Sherry Purdue; siblings, Mark Purdue and Janet Altar; children, Cosette Harris, Scott Harris, Brook Harris, Brett Harris; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; cousins and friends. David was laid to rest in Ft. Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, Minnesota on November 13th, 2020 at 12:30 pm with full Military Honors.  Arrangements are pending with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.
