David Byram 04/17/2024

David Byram, age 85, died on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at River Falls Area Hospital. He was born the son of Theodore and Ann (Jansky) Byram on November 23, 1938 in Madison, WI. He received his bachelor’s degree in industrial design and sculpture from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. He started his career at Ellerbe Architects Design Department and later worked as a product designer for 3M, retiring in December 2000. On June 2, 1973, he married his wife, Margaret “Meg” Manderfeld and had two children, Ted and Chantelle. Dave was always building or tinkering. He loved the outdoors, especially camping and sailing. Dave always had music playing in the background while reading the paper at the kitchen table. He was giving and supportive. He always had nonjudgmental advice and adored his family. Dave was his family’s rock and took care of anything they needed.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Ann. David is survived by his wife, Meg; children, Ted (Annie) and Chantelle; and grandson, Leo.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Friday, April 26, 2024 at 11AM at Saint Bridget Catholic Church (211 E Division Street) in River Falls with a visitation starting one hour prior to the service. Interment is in Saint Bridget Catholic Cemetery.  Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.
