Danette R. Gibson 04/19/2023

Danette Rae Gibson, 72, of New Richmond, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully at The Deerfield, on Wednesday, April 19, 2023. Born in Clayton, Wisconsin, Danette was a loving, resilient woman with a gift for hospitality. Danette had a beautiful alto singing voice, and remembered the lyrics to every song she heard. In addition to being active in her church life, Danette loved to sew matching outfits for her daughters. She also enjoyed renovating homes, and she loved color and wasn’t afraid to use it.  Danette is preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Violette Cicchese; brother Bruce Cicchese; husband, Mark Gibson; and brother-in-law, Wendell Nordquist.  She is survived by her daughters, Allison Chapman (John) and Hilarie Granmoe (Luke); grandchildren, Ava, Cannon, Adam and Knox; siblings, Dona Glowe (Ed), Joan Nordquist, Julie Rolf (Russ) and Barry Cicchese (Maureen); and sister-in-law, Shirley Cicchese.  A memorial service was held Saturday, June 17, 2023, at Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services, 728 S Knowles Avenue in New Richmond, Wisconsin. The service began at 11 AM, with visitation starting at 10 AM and was viewed live on the link below.Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.
