Dale Peterson 07/15/2024

Dale Peterson, age 68, died on Monday, July 15, 2024 at the Prescott Nursing and Rehab Community. Dale Charles Peterson was born on September 29, 1955, in River Falls, WI where he stayed for the entirety of his life. He graduated from River Falls High school, class of 1973. Dale and Debra “Debbie” Velenchenko were married on November 3rd, 2006 in Ellsworth, WI. Dale worked for Cemstone Trucking where he was a driver/operator until his retirement. After retirement, he continued to work part time for Melstrom Towing. Dale enjoyed tractor rides, parades, and the warm community of the northern WI area for many years at his cabin on Des Moines Lake. He was always front and center whether it was grilling chicken for everyone or buying a round at the bar.
Dale is survived by his wife, Debra; and her three children; sister, Marilyn Weiss; as well as many nieces, nephews, and all his friends in the River Falls community. He is preceded in death by his mother, Inez Hocking Peterson; father, Gordon; aunt and uncle, Lois and Bud Holmes; brother, Jerry; sister, Karen Larson.

A Celebration of Life was on Sunday July 28th, 2024 from 1pm-4pm at Emma’s Bar (222 S Main St. River Falls, WI). Cremation Services provided by Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.
