Craig Steven Mason, 61, of River Falls passed away unexpectedly on Saturday July 12th surrounded by his family. Craig was born on September 7th 1952 to Ralph and Betsy Mason in Minneapolis MN. He graduated from Washburn High in 1970. Then, after a solo cross-country motorcycle trip, Craig enlisted in the Air Force and served from 1971-1975, when he and his beautiful wife, Faye began their family. Craig attended UW-River Falls, graduating with a degree in Forestry and Land Management. Craig worked for 3M for 32 years, retiring in 2009. He then pursued his lifelong passion for fly fishing and his enduring love of Nature. He built a cabin in Brule, WI , and his family will be grateful for the peace of Nature found there for generations to come.  Craig enjoyed time with his family, with a special love for his grandchildren Lily, Nate, Sage and Audrey. He will be deeply missed by Faye, his devoted wife of 40 years, three sons, Seegar (Beth), Neil (Amanda), and Russell; as well as siblings Tom (Deanne) Mason, Sally (Jim) Kuphal, Ralph (Karen) Mason, Carol (David) Sherrill, Kay (Rob) Kieval, Mark (Ann) Mason, and Ruth (Matthew) Zimmerman.  Memorial Open House was held from 2-5pm on Saturday, July 19th at Bakken-Young Funeral Home in River Falls.  Arrangements are with Bakken-Young funeral & Cremation Services of River Falls.
