Cornelia (Connie) Belisle, Somerset, WI Age 91 through death to eternal life on September 6, 2015 at Christian Community Homes in Osceola, WI. Born December 23, 1923 in Farmington, WI to Leo and Hattie (Potting) Hinz. Preceded in death by her parents, husband, Valmore, infant daughter, Michelle, brothers, Paul, Leroy, sisters, Cele Plourde, Priscilla Montpetit, Leona Berget, daughter-in-law, Jennifer Belisle, son-in-law, William Raleigh Sr. Survived by children, Kathy (Mick) Fox, Danny Belisle (Cheryl), Celeste Raleigh, Patty Parent (Robb), Renee (Jim) Landry, grandchildren, Kristie, Troy, Susie, William Jr., Luke, Emily, Sophia, Ciara, and nine great-grandchildren. Connie grew up on the family farm in East Farmington. She attended Oak Knoll School and graduated from Osceola High School. Valmore and Connie were united in Holy Matrimony in a double-wedding ceremony, with sister, Cele and Remie Plourde, on October 1, 1947 at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Somerset, WI. Connie worked at LaGrandeur’s Red and White grocery store before her marriage and again when her children were of school age. For several years, her and sister, Pat, made pea soup by the milk cans full for “Somerset Pea Soup Days”. With sister, Leona, there was always time for a chat on the phone. Blessed with a beautiful singing voice, Connie sang with St. Anne’s choir, with organ accompaniment by her sister, Cele. She was a Brett Favre, Aaron Rodgers, and Tiger Woods fan. In a TV interview, she posed wearing her #4 jersey in support of the Green Bay Packers. Somerset sporting events found her in the stands cheering for her grandchildren. Games were followed by a drive to Pottings Bar for the great company and delicious burgers. Each fall she looked forward to the drive up North with Billy and Celeste to see the beautiful fall colors. Connie enjoyed celebrating Christmas with four generations and a special visit from Santa. Connie was a faithful member of St. Anne’s Parish and a member of the Ladies of St. Anne’s. Connie and Valmore instilled in their children faith in God. She was prayerful, caring, loving, supportive, and hardworking; a wonderful example and role model for us. She will be deeply missed. The family would like to thank Christian Community Homes and Adoray Hospice for taking such good care of our Mother. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday September 9, 2015 at St. Anne’s Church in Somerset, WI. Visitation two hours prior to Mass at the CHURCH. Interment St. Anne’s cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.
