Christopher Johnson 04/06/2024

Christopher Michael Johnson, age 37, unexpectedly, yet peacefully, passed away at home on Saturday, April 6, 2024.  Chris was born and raised in New Richmond, Wisconsin and after high school he milked cows locally for a short time and then traveled the county installing rock walls, but soon settled back home and found his knitch building houses.  He was currently employed at Wittstock Builders.  Chris was a quiet free-spirited guy that was known for his quick wit and wicked sense of humor.  Chris loved to deer hunt, kayak the Apple River and fish.  Weekends were spent four wheeling in Solan Springs and riding his Harley, his pride and joy.   Chris genuinely loved life.  And his life was forever changed when he became a father to Corbin.  Corbin was the absolute love of Chris’ life.  Everything Chris did was for Corbin; they were two peas in pod that were inseparable.

Chris leaves behind the love of his life, his son, Corbin Johnson; his parents, Joe and Kim; brother, Mathew (Kristen), Nicholas (Anna) and Zachary; niece and nephews, Landan, Brantley, Preston and Sutton; grandmother, Elfrieda Johnson; aunts and uncles, Michelle (Brad) Tarman, Jenifer (Brad) Radinzel, Amy Johnson (Jeff Frank), Denice (Wade) Swiggum, Bruno (Brenda) Johnson, Gary (Rita) Johnson and Lisa Johnson; along with many cousins and friends.

Chris is preceded in death by his grandparents, Jean and Daniel Potter and Kenneth Johnson; and uncles, Ricky Johnson and Steve Johnson.

A celebration honoring Chris’ life is being planned for a later date.

Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.
