Christopher Hintzman 12/30/2020

Christopher Hintzman, age 40, of New Richmond, WI, died Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at his residence. He was born on June 14, 1980 in Eau Claire, WI. Christopher grew up in New Richmond graduating from New Richmond High School. Following High School, he joined the Navy. Christopher served on the USS Kitty Hawk in Yokosuka, Japan from November of 1999 until October of 2002. He later served on the Naval Security Force in Bahrain from October 2002 until October 2003. Christopher loved the outdoors, especially, deer hunting, fishing, ice fishing, kayaking, and taxidermy. He was a member of the Paralyzed Veterans of Wisconsin. Christopher will be remembered for his positive attitude, great sense of humor and love for the out doors. He is survived by his mother, Kristine Crosby; stepfather, Gary Crosby; stepsister, Shannon Johnson; stepbrother, Michael Crosby; grandmothers, Marjorie Smasal and Leann Mork. He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Richard Smasal and Kenneth Hintzman.  A Funeral Service was held on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at 11 am at Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services 728 S Knowles Avenue New Richmond, WI.  Visitation was also on Wednesday from 10-11 am at the funeral home.  Interment will be in the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner, WI at a later date.  Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.
