Christine Ann Waxon, nee Bova, age 72 of Hudson, WI, died unexpectedly on January 12, 2025. Chris was born the daughter of Janice Sellner and James Bova on November 25, 1952 in St. Paul, MN. She grew up in Newport, MN, graduating from Park High School in Cottage Grove, MN with the class of 1971. After graduation, Chris went to work at the St. Paul Companies. In 1983, Chris married Robert (Bob) Waxon and they made their home in Hudson, WI. She enjoyed traveling with Bob and her daughters, sewing, spending time at the lake and most of all being a grandma. She loved her family most of all, especially her twin daughters. Chris was an independent, kind hearted woman who was always willing to help someone in need. She is preceded in death by her parents, Janice Sellner and James Bova; husband, Bob Waxon; brother, Anthony Bova; nephew, Lee Bova; and brother-in-law, Larry Wall. Chris is survived by her daughters, Katherine (Brian) Ford and Allison Waxon; grandchildren, Sophia, Zoey, Karson, Eliza and Theo Ford; brother, Edward Bova; sister-in-law, Barbara Wall; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. A Celebration of Christine’s and Robert’s Lives will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at 12 noon at Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services 805 E Division Street River Falls, WI. Visitation will also be on Saturday from 11 am – 12 noon at the funeral home. Interment will be in Willow River Cemetery in Hudson, WI. Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.
