Charlotte C. Kadow age 96 of Red Wing and formerly of the Milwaukee area died Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at Potters Ridge in Red Wing. She was born September 10, 1918 in Edgerton, WI the daughter of George and Margaret (Dates) Kruckenberg. Charlotte grew up on a dairy farm and graduated from Edgerton High School. After graduation she attended Mt. Sinai Nursing School in Milwaukee and became a RN working in home health care. Charlotte married Harry Kadow. Charlotte was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She always kept a large garden, enjoyed working on geneolgy, and needlepoint. Charlotte took great pride in her grandchildren and always showed her care, concern and love for her family. Her family remembers her as a strong women who always obeyed the rules. She is survived by her children, Robert (Carol) Kadow, Jean Masse; daughter-in-law, Mary (Paul) Kadow Pinter Scott; grandchildren, Dana (Juli) Kraft, Brian (Laurie) Kraft, Krista Coffey, Timothy (Tara) Kadow, Robyn (Ryan) Trannel, Michael (Brooke) Kadow, Elizabeth Kadow, Mark (Amber) Masse, Beth (Todd) Collins, Michael Kadow; 13 great-grandchildren; brothers, David (Darlene) Kruckenberg, and Malcolm Kruckenberg. Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Kadow, daughter and son-in-law, Elaine (Ed) Kraft; son, Craig Kadow; sister and brother-in-law, Doris (Bill) Dietze; son-in-law, Jim Masse. A memorial service was held Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 2:00 pm at First United Methodist Church in Red Wing. Visitation was also Saturday from 1-2 pm at the church. Private interment will be in the Pine Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Milwaukee. Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services of Maiden Rock
