Charles “Moon” Mullan Jr., age 83 of Somerset, WI, formerly of St Paul, MN, died peacefully on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 after a short battle with cancer. He was born in St. Paul and graduated from Central High School. Charles was employed at Great Northern Railroad and later joined the Navy where he served on the Bryce Canyon ship as a radio operator. He later returned to the railroad and retired from 3M after 29 years. Charles was a member of VFW, American Legion (40 & 8), Piston Pushers, and Knights of Columbus. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Kathleen Mullan. He will be dearly missed by his wife of 61 years, Alice; children, Charles, Mary Wandersee, Michael (Kim), Sharon (Jerry) Kludtke, Barbara (Rick) Leverty, Thomas, and Patrick (Sherry Struemke);18 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial Monday, January 27 (11 AM) at ST. ANNE’S CATHOLIC CHURCH in Somerset, WI. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service at the CHURCH. Private interment Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
