Carolyn Lindquist 04/23/2023

Carol Lindquist of Star Prairie, WI and other places, passed away on April 23, 2023, at Regions Hospital, in St. Paul, MN. She was born in Tacoma, Washington on April 26, 1942, to Robert and Ethel (Lacktorin) Nielson. She went to school in North St. Paul, MN. In 1958 she married Larry Desklins, he drowned in a boating accident in 1960. They had a daughter, and later she married Jack Lawrence, and had 2 more children. They divorced in 1971. On May 6, 1976 she married Marvin Lindquist along with his 5 children. Carolyn loved to cook and was good at it. She and Marvin enjoyed many (versions) of time together. From owning and operating campgrounds to working in the back country in Idaho, to driving trucks. They spent the last 19 years wintering in Arizona.
Carolyn is survived by her husband, Marvin. Her children, Pam VanCura (Mark), John Lawrence (Angel), Corrine McCarley (Steve), his children, Kim Freemen (Keith, deceased), Dorie Danielson (Gregg), Duane, Paul, and Mike Lindquist, and a foster daughter, Iva Lee Melton, plus many grandchildren and great grandchildren. A Celebration of Life was held on Saturday, June 10, 2023, from 1pm-4pm at Star Prairie Hall, 2118 Cook Avenue, Somerset, Wisconsin. Cremation Services provided by Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.
