Carol Perkins 09/20/2014

Carol F. Perkins age 58 of Maiden Rock died unexpectedly on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at United Hospital in St. Paul, MN.  She was born the daughter of Frank and Eileen (Lambert) Hoffmeyer on November 18, 1955 in River Falls, WI.  She graduated from River Falls High School.  Carol married Bill Gibbs and they later divorced.  On January 24, 1981, she married Elmer Perkins.  Carol loved the outdoors, which included hunting and fishing.  She was a Green Bay Packer fan. She was a loving and caring person who enjoyed baking, cooking, cross stitching and other crafts.  Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Eileen; son, Gordon Paul Gibbs; grandson, Michael Arnold; sisters, Pam and Becky Hoffmeyer; step-daughter, Janet Perkins.  She is survived by her husband, Elmer; children, Crystal (John) Halpaus, Lisa Virnig, Patti (Douglas Hundley) Arnold, Sarah (Larry) Stokes, Jeanna Scott, Elmer (fiancé, Leora Petz) Perkins, Jr.; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Donald Hoffmeyer; and many friends.  A funeral service was held Thursday, September 25, 2014 at 10:30 am at Bakken-Young Funeral Home in Maiden Rock.  Visitation was held Wednesday, September 24, 2014 from 4:00-8:00 pm at Bakken-Young Funeral Home in Maiden Rock and also Thursday from 9:00-10:30 am before the service.  Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services of Maiden Rock.
