Carol Mullikin 09/27/2019

Carol Joyce Mullikin age 78 of New Richmond died on Friday, September 27, 2019 at the St. Croix Health Center. She was born the daughter of Edwin and Mabel (Ness) Olson on December 3, 1940 in Minneapolis, MN. Carol grew up in Barron, WI and graduated from Barron High School with the class of 1959. On February 28, 1960, she married Eugene A. Mullikin at the First Lutheran Church in Barron. Carol worked at Doboy and owned and operated Trends in New Richmond. She loved antiques, especially linens, and was an antique dealer with Gene for almost 30 years. She enjoyed reading, fashion and design, Sanibel Island, Florida and most of all spending time with her family. She also will be remembered for her pet nicknames for all of her beloved family. She will be remembered for her unconditional love, her kindness and generosity, as well as her compassion and empathy for other people. Carol is preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, David and Robert Olson; and 2 infant siblings. She is survived by her loving husband, Gene Mullikin; loving daughters, Cheryl (Tom)Emerson, Kristin Quist, grandchildren, Jason (Brianna) Emerson, Josh Emerson, Alex (Deidra) Emerson, Tyler (Kendra) Quist, Dillon (Nicole Steffes) Quist, Lacey Quist; great-grandchildren, Maxwell, Eleanora, Gracin, Braxton, Regan, Troy, Teague and Talon Emerson, Chloe, Rhett, Colbie and Reese Quist; sister-in-law, Melanie Olson; and many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Carol’s Life was held on Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at 3 pm at the First Lutheran Church 218 County Road K New Richmond, WI. Visitation was also on Tuesday from 1-3 pm at the church. Private interment will be in Poskin Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.
