Carl Chandler 11/01/2026

Carl Edmund Chandler, age 92 of Green Valley, AZ and Hudson, WI, died on Sunday, November 1, 2026.  Carl was born on January 16, 1934 to Carl William and Dorothy Chandler in Springfield, IL.  The family moved to Rockford, IL in 1946.  After high school, Carl went to work with his father at a Tool and Die shop in Rockford.

Carl married his childhood sweetheart Lillian Anderson and they had three children, Kimberly, Paul and Phillip (Michelle).

In 1956 Carl was drafted into the Army.  He served as an aide to a General in Heidelberg, Germany.  After the Army, Carl eventually bought his own machine shop which he operated for 30 years.

Lillian passed away in 2013.

Carl later married his Green Valley neighbor and “snowbird” Lis Mundinger of Hudson, WI, where they spent their summers.

In earlier days, Carl was an avid golfer.  He sang with several Barber Shop Quartets and church choirs.  In Hudson he enjoyed helping with landscaping, reading western novels and listening to classical music.

Carl loved his new family, Lisa and Gregg and Paul and Elizabeth, and they loved him.  Carl was a good, kind, and generous man who loved the Lord deeply.  He had a quiet nature and a humble spirit.

He leaves us with wonderful memories of family gatherings, birthday parties, Hawaiian vacation, and special festivities usually involving food, drink and laughter.  We loved him very much and will miss him deeply.

A Celebration of Carl’s Life will be on Tuesday, November 10, 2026 at 11 am at Trinity Lutheran Church West Campus 1205 6th Street Hudson, WI.  Visitation will also be on Tuesday from 10-11 am at the church.  Fellowship will follow the service.  Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Machesney Park, IL.  Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.
