Bruce J. Roberts age 55 of Star Prairie passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on Friday, August 12, 2016 at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, MN. He was born the youngest son to Harold and Albertha (Cardinal) Roberts on January 17, 1961. Bruce graduated from Amery High School and on October 8, 1988 he married Marcia Wettig. He worked in the sheet metal business for many years. In his spare time, Bruce enjoyed hunting, fishing and enjoying his property, he called “his little piece of heaven”. He has a soft spot for his beloved dogs and cats and loved helping people when he could. Bruce is survived by his wife, Marcia; siblings, Marcia Bean-Highland, Marie Lange, Mark (Barb) Roberts, Karen (Terry) Nielson-Mollenhoff; sister-in-law, Jean Roberts; in-laws, Greg (Linda) Wettig, Mark (Patty) Wettig, Jeff Wettig, Sherry (Dave) Tody, Rob (Jen) Wettig; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews; special “little buddy”, Easton Wettig; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Albertha Roberts, brother, Paul Roberts and nephews, Jesse Nielson and Eric Tody. A funeral service was held Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at 11:00 am at West Immanuel Lutheran Church in rural Osceola. Visitation took place on Tuesday, August 16th from 5-8 pm at West Immanuel Lutheran Church (Servant Hall) and also on Wednesday from 10-11 at the church. Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services Beebe Chapel of New Richmond.

Marcia I am sorry to here of Bruce’s passing. Bruce was such a kind soul and always had time to chatt.
He helped me way back in the day at northern metal. It’s was alway nice running into you two at the fall festival we I was there.
