Bruce “Bruno” Johnson, age 62, died peacefully on Monday, August 19, 2024. He was born the son of Elfrieda and Kenneth Johnson on July 7, 1962 in River Falls, WI. Bruno attended grade school in Hudson and graduated there. Following graduation, Bruno met and married the love of his life, Brenda Hammann on July 30, 1982 in Barron, WI. He was self-employed farmer for 30 years and kept hoof trimming for 38 years. Bruno’s biggest passion in his life was his welding business. His shop was always open for conversation. He loved fishing, his blue heelers, and deer hunting. Bruno was a man of strong faith and a quick-witted legend. He was a devoted husband of 42 years and adored his children and grandchildren. Bruno was a respected hard worker and generous man. He loved people but disliked crowds. He had his “bubble.” “TICS, I am proud of you”.
Bruno is preceded in death by his father, Kenneth; brothers, Ricky and Steve. He is survived by his wife, Brenda; children, Brent (Cassie), Brittney (Corey) Brennan; Brooke (Rod) Wenzel; and Brandi (Logan) Martell; grandchildren, Lillian, Kaydence, Emmett, Alan, Sofia, and Emily; mother, Elfrieda; dogs, Stewie and Henry; siblings, Gary (Rita), Joe (Kim), and Lisa; sister-in-law, Amy; best friend, Krastyo Malinov; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
A Funeral Service was held on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at 12 noon at Saint Luke’s Lutheran Church (365 W River Drive New Richmond WI 54017) with a visitation starting at 10:00AM. Interment was in Wagon Landing Cemetery in Alden Township. Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.

We will think of Bruno and smile each day we look down our freshly mown hill to the lake…Bruno’s hill…we had such a lively afternoon with him solving the problems of the world and setting it all straight.
